What is Comprehensive Sex Education (CSE)?

Comprehensive Sex Education is a curriculum-based framework of education for children K-12, whose purpose is to reform social systems by teaching children a particular worldview regarding gender and sexuality. This worldview is based on the following assumptions:

  1. children are sexual from birth,

  2. children will engage in sexual activities,

  3. children have the right to sexual pleasure,

  4. children will make healthy choices if given the correct information,

  5. diversity is to be celebrated.

Therefore, children are taught:

  1. human gender and sexual orientation are spectrums,

  2. diversity in human gender and sexual orientation is to be celebrated,

  3. any kind of consensual, protected sexual activities are normal and healthy,

  4. how to engage in sexual conversations,

  5. how to give consent,

  6. how to engage in sexually pleasurable activities

  7. how to reduce the risk of STDs and pregnancies through contraception and abortion

The next time someone talks about sexual education, remember the following 3 things:

  1. Comprehensive Sex Education is an education system based on a particular worldview regarding gender and sexuality and is meant to change our social systems.

  2. Comprehensive Sex Education teaches children that they have the right to sexual pleasure and teaches them how to have that pleasure.

  3. Comprehensive Sex Education teaches the following moral standard: diversity within sexual orientation and gender are to be celebrated as long as individuals give consent and protect against STDs and pregnancies.
